Skippack Township supervisor charged, admits to child sex assault
Nicholas Fountain, 38, is facing multiple felony charges after a joint investigation by Pennsylvania State Police and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau.
According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, the victim reported the sexual assaults on September 24 at the PSP Skippack Barracks. The victim told police the assaults happened when he was between 9 and 16 years old. The DA’s office said Fountain “had access” to the victim. The criminal complaint adds that Fountain “was in a caregiving role” to the victim.
The criminal complaint revealed that during an interview at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on Friday afternoon, Fountain admitted to the crimes. He said the assaults happened on multiple occasions, with the last assault occurring when the victim turned 16 years old.
Police charged, arraigned, and denied bail for Nicholas Fountain on Sunday.
Fountain is listed as Vice-Chair of the Skippack Township Board of Supervisors. The board released the following statement on Monday:
We learned today of additional and very disturbing charges filed yesterday by the Montgomery County District Attorney against Nick Fountain. The actions alleged in those charges have no place in our community, in Montgomery County or anywhere else, and we vehemently condemn such behavior. Our thoughts are with anyone impacted by these allegations.
We called for Mr. Fountain to resign from the Board of Supervisors and recently received his letter of resignation. We will act upon the letter at our next Public Meeting this Wednesday, October 8.
We will cooperate with law enforcement’s investigation in any way possible. Out of respect for the legal process, we will have no further comment.

Previously, on September 25, the board released a statement on charges filed against Fountain by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office for a different, but related, criminal case. According to reports, the charges in Maryland are from an undercover operation where a police officer posed as a teenage boy, and Fountain allegedly attempted to solicit a minor and engage in the production of child pornography.
Fountain has a preliminary hearing scheduled on October 15.
