Police arrest Rockford man, 26, accused of rape
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford man has been accused of rape after police were called to investigate an assault that reportedly occurred in April.

According to the Rockford Police Department, on April 18th, officers received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the 2300 block of Rockwell Street.

Detectives with the Sensitive Crimes Unit conducted a follow-up investigation that resulted in charges being filed against Kyle Condon, 26.

Condon was arrested on Wednesday, October 1st.

He has been charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault.

Condon was booked into the Winnebago County Jail pending the outcome of a pretrial detention hearing.
