Man wanted for fatal shooting in Franklin County
According to Franklin County Sheriff Tom Tindle, the shooting occurred on Mildred Davis Road around 1:30 a.m. on October 4, 2025. He said John Starks III, 26, was killed and another person was left critically injured. A third victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was identified as Roeland Williams, 24, of Franklin County. Investigators said Williams has spent a “considerable” amount of time recently in Adams County.
“This is a serious and active investigation,” said Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten. “We are urging the public to remain vigilant and to contact law enforcement immediately if they have any information on the whereabouts of this suspect. Our agencies are working hand in hand to bring him into custody safely.”
