Ekos Vol. 2 Expands the New Universe From Marvel Studios Co-Founder David Maisel

Last year, Marvel Studios co-founder David Maisel and Aspen Comics teamed up to debut Ekos, a new shared universe based on the work of the late Michael Turner and former DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns. Ekos Vol. 1 proved to be a hit, so it’s only fitting that the series returns for Vol. 2.

With the crowdfunding campaign for Ekos Vol. 2 gearing up soon, IGN can exclusively debut a new trailer for the graphic novel. Check it out in the video player above or embedded below:

Ekos Vol. 2 is the second act of a planned trilogy of graphic novels. The creative team includes writer J.T. Krul, pencil artist Alex Konat, digital inker Mark Roslan, color artist Peter Steigerwald, and letterer Josh Reed. The book is produced by Maisel and Aspen Comics. Here’s the official logline for the book:

Ekos Volume 2 continues the story of a new superstar in Grell, who in Volume 1 embarked on a journey to discover the world of Ekos. Grell encountered many of the beloved characters from Michael Turner’s legacy, including superstars Aspen (Fathom) and Grace (Soulfire), and joined forces with them on a shared mission. Remarkably, Ekos is the first time these characters have all come together in the same universe, and now Volume 2 continues their journey as they deal with turmoil within their realms and climactic interactions with the humans!
