Driver extricated after vehicle hits school bus in Ridgeland

RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Ridgeland police responded to a crash involving a school bus and a vehicle.

The crash happened on Lake Harbour Drive at The Mark Apartments on October 6, 2025.

According to Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers, the driver of the vehicle was entrapped and had to be extricated by Ridgeland firefighters. The driver was transported to a local hospital.

Myers said two children were on the school bus. They were not injured.
