Baton Rouge mother accused of injuring 13-year-old son
A deputy responded to an altercation between a mother and her 13-year-old son, a little before 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, at a home on Kolin Drive. According to the affidavit, the son told deputies that his mother shouted profanities at him when she got home before telling him to make the bed and then sleep outside.
The son sat in the living room, leaning on a damaged window panel, which angered his mother, Latrece Allen, 45, of Baton Rouge. Allen armed himself with a sharp object and allegedly struck and injured him. An affidavit said Allen told investigators she “popped” her son.
Allen was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Friday, Oct. 3.
