Teen dead after shooting on Scenic Highway in Baton Rouge, police say

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the deadly shooting of a 17-year-old that happened Saturday night.

Police said Micah Booker was shot in the 7800 block of Scenic Highway around 10:20 p.m. and taken to the hospital. He later died from his injuries.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and ask anyone with information to contact the BRPD Homicide Division at 225-389-4869 or Capital Region Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP.
