Owensboro chase ends with crash, DUI arrest

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A vehicle pursuit in Daviess County ended with a crashed vehicle and a drug and DUI arrest.

A release from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says patrol deputies attempted to stop a vehicle occupied by a wanted felon near Highway 54 and Professional Park Drive on Saturday, but the driver failed to stop.

Deputies say at the intersection of East Parrish Avenue and Leitchfield Road, the vehicle struck a utility pole and came to a stop. The suspect was then identified as James Porche of Madisonville. They go on to say deputies located approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Porche’s vehicle.
