Owensboro chase ends with crash, DUI arrest
A release from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says patrol deputies attempted to stop a vehicle occupied by a wanted felon near Highway 54 and Professional Park Drive on Saturday, but the driver failed to stop.
Deputies say at the intersection of East Parrish Avenue and Leitchfield Road, the vehicle struck a utility pole and came to a stop. The suspect was then identified as James Porche of Madisonville. They go on to say deputies located approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Porche’s vehicle. Several homes and businesses in the area of East Parrish Ave lost power when the vehicle crashed into the pole.
Owensboro Municipal Utilities responded to fix the pole and restore power and are expecting power to be restored within three hours.
