On the evening of October 3, around 6:00 p.m., officers from the Coleman Police Department were informed that a wanted individual was hiding in a residence located on the 1100 block of North Pecos Street. The suspect was reportedly armed with a handgun.
After a five-block chase, the man climbed a feed bin at MMT Supply on 100 Lackland Street and refused to come down. An FBI crisis negotiator established communication, and after about three hours of negotiation, the suspect voluntarily surrendered without incident.
The suspect was identified as Jacob Luis Siller, 29, of Coleman. He was transported to Coleman County Medical Center for evaluation of a minor injury before being booked into the Coleman County Law Enforcement Center.
Siller faces charges including criminal trespass, criminal mischief, evading arrest or detention, violation of a protective order (Coleman County warrant), and bail jumping and failure to appear (Runnels County warrant).
During the same time, officers responded to a reported robbery in the 700 block of North Neches, which was later determined to be shoplifting. A suspect has been identified, and charges are pending.
