According to Beaverton police, friends 67-year-old Eddie Hair and 68-year-old Scott Smith were last believed to be preparing for a trip “involving camping, hiking, or searching for rare rocks.”
“They often traveled to either the Oregon coast or central Oregon for such outings,” police added.
Both were reported missing by a family friend on Sept. 13 when they did not return and couldn’t be reached.
Officials say the men were last known to be traveling in a red 2005 Jeep Wrangler with Oregon license plate 494 QKW.
Police note there is no evidence of foul play, but “their extended absence is unusual and concerning.”
Anyone with information on the men’s whereabouts is encouraged contact Beaverton police.
