On Sept. 23, around 2 p.m., officers responded to the 10800 block of Lake Arbor Way for the report of a deceased man. Officers arrived and found 58-year-old Coleman Williams of Landover. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner noted multiple injuries to the victim’s body and is working to determine the official cause of death.
The suspect was identified as a 16-year-old boy from Mitchellville. He was taken into custody on Oct. 2. The preliminary investigation revealed the murder stemmed from a dispute between the suspect and victim. At this time, there is no known connection between them.
He is charged with second-degree murder and related charges and is being charged as an adult. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
