K-9 Koa sniffs out fentanyl, meth during Merced traffic stop

MERCED, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – K-9 Officer Koa helped take fentanyl and meth off the streets after sniffing out the drugs during a Merced traffic stop.

Police say the drugs were found in two hidden compartments, containing:

  • 27.7 grams of methamphetamine
  • 10.2 grams of cocaine
  • 1.4 grams of powdered fentanyl
  • 110 fentanyl pills
  • A large amount of U.S. currency

The driver, identified as 45-year-old Ishmel Brewer of Merced, was arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail.
