Florida winning in the trenches, leads Texas 19-7 at halftime
The Gators held the Longhorns to 87 yards of offense, including 24 rushing yards. On offense, Florida is moving the ball at will with 263 total yards and possessing it almost twice as long as Texas, 19:51 to 10:09.
Three of Texas’ five drives ended with punts, one of which was blocked through the back of the ned zone for a safety to make the score 19-7 with 3:52 remaining.
Texas running back Quintrevion Wisner is playing in his first game since the season opener on Aug. 30, and he’s rushed for just 10 yards on five attempts. He caught a 6-yard pass from Arch Manning for the Longhorns’ only touchdown. Manning is 6-for-12 passing with 63 yards.
Florida ran 38 plays to Texas’ 23, and on their scoring drives, the Gators sustained two drives of 10 plays and another of 13. Florida has 17 first downs, while Texas has four.

Wide receiver Parker Livingstone had two catches for 47 yards, including a 33-yard catch to set up a score, but he took a hit to the side of his knee on the play and limped off the field. He returned to action in the second half.
