Dry Saturday, Storms return Sunday
In the tropics, we are following two areas of interest. The first is an area of low pressure near the Bahamas that likely won’t develop as it encounters wind shear and dry air. The second is a tropical wave that is moving through the Atlantic. It will likely become our next named system, Jerry, as it head westward. We have plenty of time to monitor it before it would ever affect land.
Locally, an area of low pressure south of the Louisiana coastline will bring increased rain chances to the area Sunday and Monday. At times, heavy rainfall is possible as bands of rain push in to the area. This low will move into Southwest Louisiana Monday afternoon before fading. The rest of the week will see drier conditions with sunshine in the afternoon. Temperatures will be near 90.
