The crash occurred on Highway 184 in the Powers community on October 4, 2025.

According to Powers Fire & Rescue, the driver of a Polaris Ranger was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to South Central Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to a regional trauma center.

Officials said the driver of the second vehicle, a Chevrolet Impala, ran away from the scene and is being sought by law enforcement.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating the crash.
