According to the American Darters Association (ADA), the national championship is set to take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 4728 Constitution Ave., from July 29 through Aug. 2, 2026.
The association is expecting 500 competitors and their families to be in attendance.
“We’re proud to welcome the American Darters Association to Louisiana for the first time,” said Laura Cating, SVP of Marketing & Communications at Visit Baton Rouge. “Events like this bring passionate competitors and their families to our city, creating opportunities for extended stays and increased spending at local businesses. That visitor spending helps ease the tax burden on our residents and supports the broader Baton Rouge community. We look forward to showcasing all the Capital City has to offer!”
This marks the first time in history that the event is held in Louisiana.
Visit Baton Rouge estimates the economic impact to be around one million dollars.
