You don’t have to be a road course ace like Shane Van Gisbergen to win this race. It helps, but with aspects of everything NASCAR drivers go through in the season crammed into one track, the winner could be decided on pit road.
If you ask the drivers about this stop, some will say they love it, others say they would rather be at an oval. Either way, it’s a drive to survive on a track that many are calling a home race.
🏁 Four of the five previous Charlotte Roval winners are current playoff drivers (AJ Allmendinger is the outlier from 2023).
🏁 Twice has the winner of this race gone on to win the championship- Chase Elliott in 2020 and Kyle Larson in 2021.
