Sunshine returns for Friday and the weekend
Temperatures on Friday and this weekend: Don’t expect much change in temperatures for the next several days. Lows on Friday morning will retreat into the mid to upper 60s. We will see daytime highs warm into the upper 80s to lower 90s. You can expect much of the same on Saturday and Sunday.
No rain through Sunday: Futurecast shows that we will see any clouds and rain over the ArkLaTex this afternoon, quickly dissipating this evening. We will then see a mostly clear sky on Thursday night. Expect a mostly sunny sky on Friday and a clear to partly cloudy sky on Friday night. We will probably see a few more clouds mix in with the sunshine on Saturday and Sunday, but rain is looking unlikely.
Long-range outlook: A disturbance moving across the northern Gulf will bring a very small chance of rain each day from Monday through Wednesday. The rest of next week is looking dry. We likely won’t see much change in temperatures early next week, with highs staying close to 90 and lows staying in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Some models are now hinting that we could see a slight cool down late next week. Highs could retreat to the middle 80s. Lows could dip into the low to middle 60s. It appears that we could see a significant surge of colder air move into the middle of the country during the middle of October. Stay tuned!!
