Sprouts Farmers Market Opens Fifth New Jersey Store in Woodbridge This Week

A new Sprouts store will open at 1002 Saint Georges Ave. in Woodbridge. Doors open Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 a.m. Staff will cut the ribbon just before opening.

“Woodbridge Township is excited to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market as the anchor tenant for the all-new Cloverleaf Shopping Center located in the heart of the Avenel section of the Township,” Mayor John E. McCormac said in a statement per NJ.com.

Early birds get rewards. The first 200 visitors on Friday and Saturday will receive free bags with samples. Opening morning brings an extra treat: 400 lucky shoppers will take home fresh Falcon Farms roses.

Weekend fun runs through Sunday. Kids and adults can taste fresh fruits, play games, and try to guess weights of giant produce. A special Vendor Village offers samples, while music fills the air.

Fresh food comes straight from nearby farms. Eastern Fresh Growers, Flaim Farms, Nardelli Bros. Inc. – Lake View Farms, and Sunny Valley International stock the shelves with Jersey-grown goods.

Good food won’t go to waste. The store sends usable but unsold items to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. Weekend shoppers can save 20% by joining Sprouts Rewards with code BRIGO20.

The Phoenix-based chain runs stores in 24 states. Their workforce tops 35,000 people at 450 locations. New Jersey already has stores in Marlton, Haddon Township, Aberdeen, and Woodbury.

This store starts a new chapter for Cloverleaf shopping center. Paris Baguette and Nostos Ice Cream will soon join the mix. Wick Companies built this site, adding to their local projects like Red Oak and Green Oak Senior Living.

The store needs 107 workers for jobs from cashiers to managers. Doors stay open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. They’re hiring for the deli, grocery, meat and seafood sections, plus sales and management spots.
