The Rosemount police chief has been placed on leave, according to the city’s website.

In a public safety announcement on Thursday, the city released the following statement:

“Police Chief Mikael Dahlstrom is on leave, effective immediately. Deputy Chief Carson Thomas will be leading the department in his absence. The Rosemount Police Department and City of Rosemount remain committed to providing a high level of public safety services to the community. No further information is available at this time.”
