New Orleans man accused of attacking 75-year-old in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A New Orleans man accused of attacking a 75-year-old was booked into jail in Baton Rouge on Wednesday.
An affidavit stated that Baton Rouge police officers responded to Tiger Plaza on Sept. 11, where the victim was found unconscious on the floor. A witness told investigators that the suspect, Hakeem Joseph, 32, was told to leave the apartment leasing office because they were trespassing before the incident.

The victim’s injuries included brain bleeding and bruising, a fractured bone on his face and bruising on his body.

Joseph was charged with cruelty to the infirm and second-degree battery.
