The Cubs defeated the San Diego Padres, 3-1, on Thursday to advance to the National League Divisional Series (NLDS). The Cubs (No. 4) will now face their divisional foes in the Milwaukee Brewers (No.1) at American Family Field. The Brewers finished the season with the best record among MLB teams (97-65), five games ahead of the Cubs, who finished second (92-70).
Both teams will face off in a best-of-five series.
Single-game tickets for NLDS games at Wrigley Field will go on sale Friday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m. CT, according to MLB.com. Game 1 of the NLDS will be played on Saturday, Oct. 4. The start time has yet to be determined.
The Cubs and Brewers will play Game 2 on Monday, October 6.
The Cubs then host the Brewers in back-to-back games on Wednesday, Oct. 8, and Thursday, Oct. 9, respectively. The Cubbies will then travel back to Milwaukee for a Game 5, win-or-go-home scenario on Saturday, Oct. 11, if necessary.
