Coalition demands Pennsylvania budget resolution as human services fall behind
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — With no Pennsylvania budget, many organizations struggle to provide services to the residents they serve.

The Coalition of Critical Services Providers, which represents many for-profit and nonprofit organizations that provide health and human services, called for an immediate budget resolution to ensure their services will continue.

“Every day of that delay is a day of risk, hunger and falling further behind for families across the Commonwealth,” said Beck Moore, CEO of the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania. “And now, this impact is further compounded by the federal government shutdown further straining nonprofit operations that rely on these critical funds, funds that were already strained.”

Many organizations are continuing to struggle without the budget passing, which continues to affect families and older adults throughout the state.
