California police partner to find missing woman who disappeared amid hiking trip
(FOX40.COM) — Two California law enforcement agencies are asking for the public’s help to find a woman who went missing amid a hiking trip.

On Wednesday evening, Sunshine Borjas, 47, was reported missing to the Santa Rosa Police Department. Borjas reportedly left her Santa Rosa home around 1:30 p.m. and drove to Bodega Head where she was believed to be hiking alone.

Sunshine Borjas, 47, was reported missing on Oct. 1, 2025, after she was believed to be going on a hiking trip.

According to SRPD, Borjas’s vehicle was located by law enforcement in the parking lot of Bodega Head early Thursday morning. On Friday, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said it was joining the efforts to help find her and asked the public to check their surveillance cameras for footage of her.

Borjas is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall, 155 pounds, and as having blonde hair with blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey shirt, grey leggings, and black sneakers.
