Broadmoor area shooting leaves woman dead Thursday night
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department was on the scene of an overnight homicide in the Broadmoor neighborhood.
Around 11 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, officers were called to the 3900 block of General Taylor Street on reports of a shooting in the area.
Upon arrival, a woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound. NOLA EMS pronounced her dead on the scene.
No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
