BPD: Parole officer arrested on child porn possession charge

According to officials with the Bloomington Police Department, 34-year-old Stephen Walker was arrested on the preliminary charge of possession of child pornography, a Level 5 felony.

Officials with the Bloomington Police Department confirmed that Walker was a parole officer. FOX59/CBS4 has reached out regarding Walker’s current employment. This story will be updated if that request for information is returned.

The department said the arrest was the result of an investigation that began earlier this year in Boston centered on another individual. The department claims that the individual, who was unnamed, was found to be sharing child porn online with a person later identified as Walker.

Walker was located by Bloomington police officers on Thursday and was taken into custody without incident.
