Boxing event to benefit Illinois State Crime Commission’s PAL program for youth

Local boxing organizations are joining with law enforcement in support of the not-for-profit Illinois State Crime Commission’s Police Athletic League, or PAL for short. 

PAL’s mission is to provide positive intervention to keep youth out of gangs and excited about what their future holds. 

A Fight Night will take place on Thursday October 9 at the Renaissance Center in Joliet. The fights will sanctioned by USA Boxing and the Illinois Boxing Committee. 

One of PAL’s cornerstones is to help create positive relationships with youth and law enforcement and the fight night will feature bouts involving cops and sheriff’s deputies.
