Beaverton resident Juan Gabriel Valero, 34, is facing assault and other charges related to the alleged domestic violence incident last week.
“On the morning of Saturday, September 27, 2025, a Beaverton police officer was flagged down
near SW Osprey Drive and SW Murray Boulevard in south Beaverton by a woman who
reported she had been violently assaulted by her boyfriend,” the Beaverton Police Department said in a press release. “The victim, who sustained multiple stab wounds, was transported to a local hospital where she received treatment and is expected to recover.”
Valero allegedly fled the scene on a motorcycle before the police’s arrival. The Beaverton Police Department, with the assistance of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Negotiations Team, found the suspect in an apartment in Aloha the next day, with Valero later surrendering.
“During the investigation, a search of Valero’s home was conducted. During that search, detectives recovered physical evidence related to the assault in this case,” Beaverton police said.
Valero, who was booked into the Washington County Jail, faces charges that include first-degree assault, strangulation, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and first-degree kidnapping.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Beaverton police.
