LOOKING AHEAD: Rain chances will remain fairly low through Saturday, outside of a stray shower or thunderstorm. The chance for rain will increase to 40% on Sunday, as an area of low pressure slings moisture into south Louisiana from the Gulf. The heaviest of the rain will remain along the Louisiana coast, but there will be passing showers and a few storms through out the day Sunday. There will also be minor coastal flooding due to a persistent east wind continuing through the weekend. A small craft advisory will be in effect through Sunday, so boaters be advised. Monday will feature a more summertime pattern with pop-up afternoon thunderstorms.
