First, NOLAxNOLA is a salute to music and culture at some of the best-known venues in town. Musicians, artists, comedians and others will descend upon New Orleans to contribute to the unique heritage the city has to offer. Visit NOLAxNOLA’s website for complete listings.
Next, starting Friday, Oct. 3, celebrate the first weekend of October at Gretna Fest. The festival features multiple stages with acts such as Better Than Ezra, Sam Hunt and Trombone Shorty, along with multicultural areas representing Asia, Italy and even a German Oktoberfest.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, festival-goers will fight hunger in St. Bernard Parish at the free Blues Brews and BBQ Fest at Docville Farm. Enjoy the family-friendly event while helping your community; live music acts include the Kenny Acosta Band and more.
Finally, the National Fried Chicken Festival is back at the New Orleans Lakefront. From traditional classic fried chicken to vegetarian and gluten-free options, this festival is for all lovers of Southern cooking!
