Wells Fargo to lay off 50 workers from Downtown Portland branch

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Wells Fargo is set to lay off 50 people from its Downtown Portland location.

The WARN notice went out on Thursday, with the impacted employees being notified on September 30.

The last day of employment for those workers comes the same week as Thanksgiving, on November 28.

Wells Fargo said it will offer displaced employees severance and free career assistance to the impacted people.

In December of last year, the banking giant laid off hundreds of Oregon employees.
