(KRON) — The University of California Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault as a hate crime.
The incident happened Sept. 30 at 2:48 p.m. in the area of Bancroft Way and Telegraph Avenue, according to the UC Berkeley police daily crime log.
It is not yet clear what led to the incident.
KRON4 has reached out to UC Berkeley police for more details on this case.
