Tesla flies off overpass and lands on San Francisco freeway

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A Tesla went off a freeway overpass and crashed down onto Interstate 280 below Wednesday night. According to the San Francisco Fire Department, a call came in around 9:47 p.m.

Two adults were rescued from the white Tesla, which landed on its roof. Both of the adults rescued were taken to the trauma center with moderate injuries, SFFD said.

Citizen video capturing the aftermath of the incident showed the white Tesla on its roof surrounded by first responders on the freeway. Above on the overpass, a crowd of onlookers stood by with yellow caution tape cordoning off a section of the of the overpass railing where the Tesla had apparently crashed through down to the roadway below.
