
The program can cover past-due balances or current utility bills, with funding distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must meet income guidelines and have not received energy assistance during the 2025 program year. Officials said applicants are required to provide documentation, including proof of income, identification, birth certificates, and a current utility bill.
PCS serves 26 counties across the region through 12 service centers, including:

“We understand the burden that rising energy costs can place on families,” said Christina Cristan, NCRT, CCAP, PCS Energy Assistance Director. “Our goal is to provide relief and stability to those in need, especially as we head into the winter season.”
Applications will be available at PCS offices and online starting Oct. 13 on the PCS website.
