NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The City of New Orleans added another feather to it’s cap of hosting national sporting events by landing the College Football Playoff National Championship of 2028.
Allstate Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley stopped by Good Morning New Orleans to speak about the big event.

Hundley says landing these games is a big coordinated effort, he also pointed out the need for support from the city’s business community in such a competitive environment, “we made a pretty direct appeal to the business community to ask them to help us. The dollars and cents mean way more than they ever have.”

The 2028 CFP National Championship will be played on Jan. 24, 2028 in the Caesar’s Superdome.
