More than 5,000 pills found in huge fentanyl bust: Santa Rosa PD

(KRON) — A search at the Santa Rosa home of an alleged narcotics trafficker uncovered 5,500 suspected fentanyl pills — including “counterfeit” oxycodone pills — and a small quantity of suspected cocaine, said Santa Rosa police.

The suspect, identified as Coolidge Sledge, 32, is accused of “distributing large quantities of suspected fentanyl pills in Santa Rosa and its surrounding areas,” according to police.

Police said officers performed the search warrant Wednesday at Sledge’s Sendero Lane home.

“The estimated street value of the suspected fentanyl pills is approximately $50,000,” said police. “Two milligrams of fentanyl is considered a lethal dose. Each of the pills are considered to be at least one lethal dose and could be more depending on the amount of fentanyl in each pill.”

Sledge was booked into the Sonoma County Jail where their bail was set at $300,000.
