Around 4:35 p.m. on Sept. 30, deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Courthouse and Kelsey road for a crash. Authorities were advised that a Harley-Davidson had tumbled over.
Once on the scene, first responders found the bike, and a 48-year-old man was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The motorcyclist was identified as Denver Steele, of Stafford.
Through investigation and witnesses, deputies learned that the motorcycle was traveling on Courthouse Road when it drifted to the right and accidentally struck a curb, before flipping over.
The sheriff’s office is handling the investigation.
