Man arrested for series of Brandon, Florence auto burglaries
In the early morning hours of October 1, 2025, detectives from the Florence Police Department and the Brandon Police Department arrested Kemarius Armstrong, 25, of Pearl.
During the investigation, detectives determined that Armstrong was in possession of multiple items confirmed to have been stolen during the burglaries.
Brandon Police Chief Joseph French said the week-long investigation was a joint effort between both communities and law enforcement agencies. He said the information provided by residents helped identify Armstrong as a suspect.
Armstrong was transported to the Rankin County Jail. He faces multiple charges related to the burglaries. The case remains under investigation.
Police said residents should secure their vehicles, remove valuables and report any suspicious activity.
