CANADIAN, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — On Oct. 1, officials with the Canadian River Music Festival announced that this year’s festival has been canceled after problems with the planning process.

In a Facebook post, CRMF said, “CRMF 2025 is canceled. We’re as disappointed about this decision as you are. We fought hard to make it happen this year, but it just didn’t work out.”

This cancellation has come after the event date was changed from June to October earlier this year.

Last Sunday, organizers explained that they are experiencing problems: “We know you guys are waiting for the big lineup announcement, and we promise, it’s coming! We’ve had some hiccups in the planning process that delayed things, but we’re hoping to let you guys know who’s coming in the next week. It’s not ideal, but it is what we’re dealing with, and we’re trying to get through it all. We appreciate your patience! Stay tuned!”

The popular Panhandle music festival plans to return in 2026, stating, “We’ve already got October 2026 in the works, so plan on next year! We’ll make up for lost time!”
