A statue of Barway Collins, the 10-year-old who disappeared and was later found dead, is missing from its home in a Crystal park as it undergoes repairs.
Crystal police confirmed to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that someone pushed the statue over in the summer, breaking it from its anchors.
After that incident, it was removed and is still being repaired by the sculptor, police say.

Officials say they hope the statue and its more robust base will be back in place at the park soon.
Collins went missing back in March 2015. His body was found in the Mississippi River weeks later and his father, Pierre Collins, is serving a 40-year prison sentence for his son’s murder.
Police say they are still looking for the person who pushed the statue over, as no arrests have been made at this time.
