Over $80K raised for mental health nonprofit Nerd HQ at FanX 2025 by Zachary Levi
FanX 2025 ran from September 25-27. Nerd HQ Nights was a series of events that took place after the convention ended each night, offering fans experiences like karaoke, a Q&A and showing of the film “SKETCH,” and a dance party.
Nerd HQ is a nonprofit organization founded by Zachary Levi that provides free access to therapy for those who can’t afford it, alongside other mental health initiatives.
Koncert and Karaoke happened on Thursday night, where fans got a chance to sing karaoke on stage with Levi. Other celebrity guests also participated, like “Sonic the Hedgehog” series voice actors Jason Griffith and Lisa Ortiz, “Uncharted” series voice actor Nolan North, and “Pokémon” voice actress Sarah Natochenny. Proceeds from the tickets went to supporting mental health initiatives.

On Friday night, Levi discussed mental health in a Q&A session followed by a free showing of the film “SKETCH,” and on Saturday, there was a free dance party.
At all the events, participants were encouraged to donate to Nerd HQ, and the combined total of donations and tickets raised over $80,000.
Levi is an actor who has starred in movies, television shows, and stage productions, such as “Tangled”, “Shazam!” and “Chuck.” Levi has been open about his personal struggles with mental health, which inspired the creation of Nerd HQ.
“This cause is deeply personal to me,” Levi said. “I know what it’s like to struggle, and I also know how life-changing it can be to get the right help.”
Nerd HQ Nights was sponsored by FanX and Angel Studios.
