NOPD: Man fatally shot while picking up child from nursery
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal carjacking that started in Mid-City and ended with the alleged suspect critically wounded on I-10.
around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30. Police said he was picking up his child from a nursery. Four hours later, deputies allegedly found the suspect Raymond Wells shot in a stolen car on I-10 near the Bonnabel exit.

Wells is in the hospital in critical condition. The NOPD said he will face a murder charge when he’s released.
