Kansas Athletics announced on Oct. 1 that a first-of-its-kind match is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at London’s Wembley Stadium. The game, dubbed the Union Jack Classic, will see the Jayhawks take on the Sun Devils in the first college football game to ever take place at the stadium.
“This is the perfect moment in time for Kansas Football to blaze an uncharted trail to historic Wembley Stadium in London,” said Kansas Director of Athletics Travis Goff. “This opportunity is reflective of the growth and trajectory of our football program and the entire University, and will provide our fans and student-athletes an unprecedented experience.”
The Union Jack Classic will mark the third Big 12 football game in two seasons to be played in Europe. The Jayhawks are also scheduled to play six home games at the new-and-improved David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium next year.
“I would like to thank the Union Jack Classic, Travis Goff and our administration, the Big 12 Conference and Arizona State Athletics for making this experience happen,” said Kansas Head Coach Lance Leipold. “It will be an exciting time for our team, KU fans, and football fans across the world as we bring a Big 12 Conference football game to London.”
Tickets will go on sale for the Union Jack Classic on Oct. 9. You can learn more about the match and how to purchase tickets by clicking here.
