Black bear spotted in Orange neighborhoods

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Orange town officials are asking residents to be cautious after black bear sightings on Tuesday.

The bear was seen in the upper Grassy Hill Road neighborhoods and in the area of Fairway Road, officials said.

Officials advised contacting them only if there is a threat or an emergency associated with the bear.

“Please do not feed nor approach the bear, they are only foraging for food. Keep your distance and respect all wildlife,” officials said.
