Woman arrested after surveillance video caught burglary in Maryland

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A woman was arrested after a social media post circulated showing surveillance video.

On Sept. 17, officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 100 block of Jennings Road in Severna Park.

The investigation revealed that a woman forced her way into the home and stole several items. The woman was also connected to two residential burglaries in Ellicott City that were being investigated by the Howard County Police Department.

Detectives were able to identify the suspect in this case.

Shannon Gough, 43, was arrested and charged via an arrest warrant for the daytime burglary in Anne Arundel County.

On Friday, Sept. 26, with assistance from Howard County Police and the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in Glen Burnie and on the suspect’s vehicle, resulting in the recovery of several items of evidentiary value.

Gough is charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft and destruction of property.
