SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Multiple lanes are closed on I-215 northbound near 2900 South due to a multi-vehicle crash.
According to the Utah Department of Transportation, a crash occurred around 4:08 p.m. on northbound I-215 near 2900 South. The crash involved five or six vehicles and is blocking lanes.
Sergeant Alexander, with the Utah Highway Patrol, says every lane except the left lane is closed. UDOT’s current estimates say that the lanes should reopened around 5:12 p.m., though that may be subject to change.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.
At this time, law enforcement has not disclosed how the crash occurred. However, it is likely that this will cause delays in the area and travelers should consider taking alternative routes.
