Teen bicyclist killed after being hit by car in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A young bicyclist was killed after being hit by a car in Fresno Monday evening.

The crash happened on Olive Avenue near Angus Avenue around 6 p.m.

The bicyclist, who police said was approximately 15 years old, was transported to a local hospital but ultimately died from their injuries.

Police say all lanes of Olive Avenue between Fresno Street and Orchard Street will be closed until at least 9 p.m.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash is asked to call the Fresno Police Department at 559-621-7000.
