Summer-like weather continues into October
Outside of a few morning clouds, sunshine will stretch areawide today helping boost temperatures back into the 90s. Clear skies, light winds and sinking air above will promote the development of ground-level ozone. Today has been declared an Ozone Action Day by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality across much of Central Texas. The very young, elderly and those with heart/lung disease and/or respiratory issues will want to limit outdoor activity.
We’ll have 60s each morning and 90s each afternoon for the foreseeable future with no rain through this weekend.
The outlook for the second week of October looks slightly more promising for rain.
