SAT Graduation Cohort scores exceeded state and national averages, Muscogee County School District says
According to the school district, this year’s SAT Graduation Cohort results exceeded both the state and national averages across all three score categories: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, Math, and Composite.
Superintendent Dr. David F. Lewis issued a statement and expressed how proud he was of this achievement, which highlights the constant improvement occurring within the county’s education system.
“We are proud to celebrate the SAT results achieved by the Muscogee County School District’s Class of 2025, which not only exceed the state and national averages but also reflect larger gains than both. These accomplishments, along with our continued growth in graduation rates, highlight the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and the encouragement of our families and staff. Together, they demonstrate the power of a community working together with shared dedication and high expectations to ensure student success.”
The school district reminds the public that, unlike Georgia Milestones Assessments taken from grades 3 through 12, the SAT does not have a prerequisite course that’s available for students to take ahead of the exam and says the cohort of students represented in the SAT data changes each year.
