The incident occurred around 9:05 a.m., when the deputy observed a vehicle speeding into the school’s parking lot. Authorities said the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver accelerated toward him. The officer responded by discharging his weapon and firing at the vehicle, which then fled the scene.
No students or staff members were injured, and the school immediately went into lockdown as a precaution.
